Advocating for client health and safety and practical sensible body art regulation.

Common-sense laws. Safer body art. Stronger small businesses.

We unite Nebraska’s body arts community to support practical, enforceable policy that protects public health—without punishing working professionals or overloading small businesses.

MISSION

(What we do / what we don’t do)

Mission:  Unite body artists to support client health and safety through reasonable, public-health-focused regulation—written with body artists, not merely about body artists—while protecting small businesses from unnecessary burdens. Advocating for health and safety of clients and educated, sensible representation for Nebraska body artists .

What we do

  • Advocate for Nebraska’s body arts community on regulation and legislation.
  • Work with legislators and regulatory agencies toward fair, workable, enforceable standards.
  • Track proposed bills and rules that affect body art in Nebraska.
  • Share direct links to official bill text and credible sources—no rumors, no noise.
  • Provide clear, current health-and-safety information for artists, clients, lawmakers, and regulators.
  • Offer “Find Your Senator” tools, plus sample letters and talking points.
  • Build unity so the body arts community speaks with one consistent, effective message.

What this site is not

This is not a complaint forum. We’re not here for drama, pile-ons, or personal grudges. We stay focused on public safety, workable regulation, and protecting small businesses—so our message stays clear and effective.

ABOUT US

Nebraska Body Art Advocacy Network is a unified voice for the body arts community. We believe public health and safety come first—and that effective policy must be practical, clear, and built around how body art actually works. We organize, educate, and advocate so lawmakers hear directly from the working professionals and small businesses most affected by these decisions.

Why unity matters

When body artists speak separately, we’re easy to overlook. When we speak together, we can help shape policy that protects the public and respects the reality of our work. Unity is how we get smart regulation instead of reactionary overregulation.

Core principles

  • Public health and safety first.
  • Practical, enforceable standards specific to body art.
  • Protect small businesses from unnecessary burdens.
  • Transparency: link to official sources whenever possible.
  • Respectful advocacy: clear messages, real facts, real solutions.

LOBBIST: We have taken steps to hire Kent Rogert, President of Jensen Rogert Associates. A former state senator, and currently a lobbyist, that has a strong record helping small businesses fight for fair legislation.

Hiring Kent will be beneficial to having Body art either removed from the bill or the bill thrown out completely.

This cost is coming out of our own pockets. If you are able, we would greatly appreciate you helping us cover this cost.
